24 Hour Home Care celebrated the grand opening of Marina Homecare at Marina Del Rey Hospital, an Affiliate of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 1st. Marina Homecare is a partnership between 24 Hour Home Care and Marina Del Rey Hospital; the new division was created to provide patients with additional assistance with activities of daily living after being discharged from the hospital.

Hundreds of medical professionals poured into Marian Del Rey Hospital’s south lawn to enjoy an afternoon of made-to-order burgers from In-N-Out, entertainment from caricature artist, Dominic Andresen, and music by special guest, DJ Marcus Shadden. Guests were entered into a raffle for a chance to win two sets of Clippers tickets.

The event capped off with Paulette Heitmeyer, Chief Nursing Officer of Marina Del Rey Hospital, cutting the ribbon at the ceremony. Heitmeyer explained, “We strongly believe our partnership will help with throughput challenges, reduce our readmission rate, and ultimately improve patient satisfaction.”

Marina Homecare will provide a full scope of services to the Marina Del Rey Hospital patients and community, ranging from personal care, medication reminders and meal preparation to 24 Hour Home Care’s Hospital-To-Your-Home™ Care Transitions Program.
