24 Hour Home Care’s Program Director, April Stewart, Wins The Lilian O’Brien Homecare Supervisor Award

Los Angeles- June 5th, 2017 – 24 Hour Home Care is honored to announce that April Stewart, Program Director of its office in Orange, California, has received the Lilian O’Brien Homecare Supervisor Award. The award honors a first-line office supervisor who has made outstanding contributions in motivating staff to achieve excellence in home care service and is presented by CAHSAH, the California Association for Health Services at Home.

“You cannot work in the respite care field for as long as April has without being truly passionate about our children and our community. She is constantly fighting for more resources, improving the knowledge of her caregiving staff, discovering and re-discovering the needs of her clients and enhancing the services her team provides to provide the community with better care,” says Stephanie Medina, Vice President of Disability Services, “I cannot think of a person who is more deserving of this award.”

April started her career with 24 Hour Home Care in 2013, serving as an Account Manager at its Torrance office and seamlessly assisting clients with their evolving needs. In 2014, Stewart was promoted to Director of Respite Services, opening and leading the company’s first office in Orange. In this role, Stewart established a new CPR program for care providers, in addition to coordinating the translation of hundreds of documents into her clients’ spoken languages. The spirit of giving April and her staff possess spurs 24 Hour Home Care’s Orange office to continue to bring new innovations to the Respite Care industry.

April was recognized at CAHSAH’s Annual Conference in Rancho Mirage on Tuesday, April 25th, along with other standout individuals who have made significant contributions to the home care community.
