We put such an emphasis on making sure our bodies are strong and that we are giving our body everything it needs to remain healthy. Whether it is your family, your caregiver or a professional, try talking with someone that will allow you to express your feelings and allow you to make room for positivity.
- Participate in activities that you want to do and say ‘no’ to the activities that no longer serve you. Do you love reading but already committed to a weekly bird watching club that might not be ‘your thing’? Although you may have enjoyed this activity once upon a time, if it no longer serves you or puts you in a positive headspace, try swapping it out for something that you enjoy. This may feel uncomfortable and the change may be hard to adapt to, but your mental and emotional well-being will thank you in the long run.
