  • Going to a museum: Seniors can interact with Mother Nature at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, where they’ll be able to observe over 50 animal species that are native to California and are protected by the State.
  • Going to a garden: If you or your loved enjoys the natural beauty of the great outdoors, they’ll love the Ruth Bancroft Gardens. This non-profit public dry garden opened to the public in the early 90s and includes plants and cacti that are native to the state of California. If your loved one would like to take a plant home, the center has plants for sale on an ongoing basis.
  • Going to a Farmer’s Market: Since 1982, the Contra Costa Certified Farmers’ Markets have been bringing the Contra Costa communities delicious, organically grown fruits and vegetables. While at the Farmer’s Market, seniors can enjoy live music, talk with the famers to learn how to grow food, purchase locally grown foods, and select lovely fresh flower bouquets.
