24 Hour Home Care Sponsors Breast Cancer Awareness Month Campaign: Think Pink!
For the month of October, 24 Hour Home Care is joining in on the fight against breast cancer!
During this time, members of our staff will trade in their customary blue polo shirts for pink polos, to raise awareness for Think Pink, our 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Campaign. In the spirit of Think Pink, 24 Hour Home Care will donate 3% of the gross proceeds from all new clients in October to the American Cancer Society, an organization dedicated to eradicating cancer. Every time someone in the community asks about our pink polos, the company will donate an additional $1 to the society.
Next to skin cancer, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among American women. 1 in 8 women today will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, and it is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 35~54. Although these statistics can be disheartening, research shows that the mortality rate of breast cancer patients can decrease by 30% if all women over the age of 50 received annual screenings.
