This Movember, We Will Grow Mustaches to Promote Men’s Health Awareness

Movember, or “Mustache November,” is an annual, month-long event, during which men everywhere grow mustaches to raise awareness for men’s health. The current state of men’s health in the U.S. is poor, as the average life expectancy for men is five years less than that of woman, without any biological explanation. Late diagnosis due to a reluctance to take action, engagement in risky activities, and a lack of understanding of men’s health issues has contributed to this. Movember aims to change the face of men’s health by raising funds for research, educational programs, and support groups for cancer survivors.

24 Hour Home Care is participating in Movember to join in the campaign to promote men’s health awareness. This month, all the men in our company are growing mustaches, while the women in our company are getting creative with their faux mustaches, in order to stir up conversation about the subject. We hope that these conversations will help inspire our community to actively care for their health!
