24 Hour Home Care Sponsors Bone Marrow Drive to Find Match for South Bay Resident
24 Hour Home Care has partnered with the Save Nina campaign and A3M, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, to sponsor a bone marrow testing drive to find a donor for South Bay resident Nina Polvanich Louie, a new mother to two-year-old, Donnie, loving wife, and daughter.
Nina was diagnosed with lymphoma last September, and has not been able to find a match through the bone marrow registry. For months, she has been undergoing aggressive chemotherapy to treat the disease, but it has now spread to her brain, and she may not have much time to find her match.
When 24 Hour Home Care heard of her story, the company’s owners immediately decided to act. “We’re based in the South Bay and we have the manpower, so we wanted to do everything possible to help her” said Ryan Iwamoto, owner and co-founder of 24 Hour Home Care.
The drive will be held on Friday, 8/30, from 11am~4pm, in the parking lot of the company’s Torrance office at 3812 Sepulveda Blvd, Torrance, CA 90505. Donors can enjoy free, mouthwatering burgers from The Lobos Truck, and snap silly shots to commemorate the day in the free photo booth sponsored by Impression Pod.
