Families Enjoy Fun and Games at the Westside Jam
Every year, the Westside Jam, a nighttime street fair, brings together families, developmentally disabled adults, Caregivers, and care providers for a night of good food and good company. The Consumer Advisory Committee hosted this year’s Westside Jam on the evening of May 9th.
The Westside Jam took place at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Culver City, whose auditorium was redecorated into a friendly space for attendees to play games and enjoy social dancing. The main attractions were Roulette, where players could place bets on the wheel to win a variety of goodies, and the Painting Booth, where painters could don an apron and create their own works of art. 24 Hour Home Care’s Westside Regional Center branch office brought in a photo booth so attendees could take instant photos home to remember the day with. Loved ones and their families also participated in the Westside Jam Raffle and won visa gift cards, movie tickets, and other fun items!
24 Hour Home Care invited all of the families we care for to participate in the Westside Jam. Our entire Westside Regional Center office staff also took turns manning the photo booth and enjoying the many activities of the night.
