Zachary Morgan of 24 Hour Home Care Was Awarded the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) Support Service Award

24 Hour Home Care’s Zachary Morgan was awarded the Support Service Award during the Joseph H. Hafkenschiel Awards Ceremony. The Support Service Award is given to the individual “who demonstrates unique behaviors or practices which support excellence in home care, and a consistent commitment and dedication in promoting home care.” Each year, this award is given to the CAHSAH member who best represents and demonstrates leadership within the home care industry.

Zachary Morgan joined 24 Hour Home Care in 2010, where he led sales and business development for the Los Angeles and San Diego territories. Morgan was promoted to Regional Director of Strategy & Partnerships, with the primary objective to expand the utilization of non-medical in-home care into previously unrealized markets. In 2017, Morgan and his team have developed contracted care transitions programs with more than 10 major hospitals and dozens of health care and community-based organizations. Such projects included the first partnership in the country between a hospital, medical group and a home care company, where 24 Hour Home Care partnered with Cedars-Sinai to fund the care for full at-risk patients. This key partnership resulted in decreasing the readmission rates for over 50 at-risk patients.

Zachary has also acted as the host of PopHealth Podcast, an award-winning show for healthcare professionals. Episodes have featured hospital leadership, such as David Feinberg (CEO, UCLA Health & Geisinger Health), Dan Trigub (Vice President at Lyft) and Rod Hanners (CEO, Keck Hospitals of USC). Morgan’s goal of PopHealth Podcast is to reach healthcare professionals who already serve in the field, as well as educate and inform individuals who may be unfamiliar with the healthcare industry. His leadership and commitment to providing information to the general public about home care and healthcare has propelled Morgan in his career at 24 Hour Home Care.

“In my nearly 8-years at 24 Hour Home Care, I’ve held a firm belief that the high-touch, low-cost nature of non-medical caregiving can be the missing link to lowering costs and improving outcomes in healthcare,” Zachary states, “I’d like to thank CAHSAH for this award and the recognition that innovative ideas like our Care Extenders program, created with fellow award recipient Dr. Sonja Rosen, are having a positive and measurable impact. I’d also like to thank 24 Hour Home Care for allowing me to be creative and to the thousands of 24 Hour Home Care caregivers who work tirelessly every day to care for the lives we touch.”
