Alzheimer’s 2014 Fundraising Results

We would like to take the time to recognize all of the efforts of those who have participated in our Alzheimer’s fundraisers and 5K Walk. We managed to raise a whopping $7,271.91 for the Los Angeles Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which took place on Sunday, November 2nd. Our staff hosted bake sales, a Halloween fundraiser at Dave & Buster’s, and themed gift basket raffles to raise funding for a diagnoses that is near and dear to our hearts, as it affects so many of the individuals we serve.

The Northern California 24Hr team managed to raise $525! They received donations by encouraging individuals to learn about the diagnoses, posting flyers in the office,
and engaging communities on social media. On the big day, the branch united employees, friends and family, and community partners at the Walk, which took place on Saturday, October
11 at 10am in San Jose, CA. They proudly waved their 24Hr Sign for the three mile walk and held their orange flowers, signifying their support of the cause. The team enjoyed being
present for such an inspiring event!

On November 15th, members of the Irvine branch of Team 24 participated in a 5K Walk at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA, to support the fight against Alzheimer’s. Team 24 brought along family, friends, and community supporters to walk in the fight to end Alzheimer’s for good. Prior to the walk day, the Irvine Office raised a total of $904. The contributions went into research to understand the cause and potential prevention of the disease, and well as support for the diagnosed.

Supporting those with Alzheimer’s is so important to us at 24Hr and we would like to thank you for your participation. If you need any information or support for Alzheimer’s Disease, please visit http://www.alz.org/.
