24 Hour Home Care Launches Annual Movember Campaign

Men around the world have been growing mustaches for the month of November in order to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health issues for the last eleven years. Females have joined the cause through their own fundraising efforts. This has all been made possible by the Movember Foundation, a company who realized the lack of awareness was hurting men everywhere, and were brave enough to start the conversation about men’s health issues.

24 Hour Home Care is participating in the movement for the third year in a row. We encourage our male employees to grow mustaches and our female employees to wear faux mustaches. All of these efforts attempt to initiate conversation about men’s health, since late diagnosis and lack of conversation is believed to be a huge contributor for worse health outcomes for men in America. 24 Hour Home Care will match your donation dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,400. In conjunction with our gift matching program, we are conducting a social media campaign, “Share Your ‘Stache.” Participants will snap photos of their mustaches with a friend, post their photo on www.facebook.com/24hrhomecare, and be entered into a raffle for a $100 gift card to Drybar or The Art of Shaving.

The funds raised by 24Hr will help the Movember Foundation fund health projects, research, and support groups. We hope that our efforts through our social media campaign (see us on Facebook) combined with the contribution of our charitable employees and their loved ones will help us to exceed the amount raised last year. Most importantly, we hope to inspire the men in our lives to make their health a priority.
