To maintain the utmost standards of our employees, 24Hr HomeCare carefully screens our Caregivers through a rigorous 24-Point screening process that includes:

  • At Least One Year of Homecare Experience
  • Driver’s License or State Identification Card
  • Social Security Card
  • Physical Examination with Medical Clearance
  • Tuberculosis Test or Chest X-Ray
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Fire and Safety Certification
  • Professional Reference
  • Second Professional Reference
  • Caregiver Competency Screening Examination Based on Emergency Situations and Scenarios in Homecare (with 80% passing grade)
  • Occupational Safety and Hazard Examination Based on Blood Borne Illnesses and Pathogens (with 80% passing grade)
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Examination Based on Patient Privacy (with 80% passing grade)
  • Personality Assessment
  • Phone Screen
  • Attitude Check Interview to Verify the Caregiver’s Character and Career Goals
  • Interview with 24Hr HomeCare Representative Regarding a Candidate’s Experience as a Caregiver
  • Nationwide Criminal Background Check
  • Nationwide Sex Offender Check through the Dru Sjodin Public Registry
  • Department of Motor Vehicle Check
  • Caregiver Orientation
  • Orientation Exam on 24Hr HomeCare’s Policies and Procedures
  • Alzheimer’s and Dementia Training Module
  • Hospice Training Module

All 24Hr Caregivers are Insured, Bonded, and Covered by Worker’s Compensation.
